4 IN 1 0 Posted June 27, 2007 someone reported BSOD maddness on this beta, i wont touch it untill more user try them(like i did in 165.01)
awins1 0 Posted June 27, 2007 I installed the new beta driver 162.15 last night and played a bit of Arma, GRAW2 demo, and Quakewars beta. All was great, no BSOD's. It felt like Arma was smoother, but I did not spend enough time with it to make a call. Worth a try for sure.
JagdPanther101 0 Posted June 27, 2007 Hmm. This may be why Steam is yelling at me that I have "out of date" video drivers. But it shouldn't be... >_>
FineLoon 0 Posted June 27, 2007 I have a NVIDIA 7900 GS. *edit* and XP32 *edit* I have been having major stability problems with screen freezes, crashes after about 15 minutes and artifacts so bad you could not see anything. Â This was especially bad in Multiplayer but also affected single player. Â My problems started with the 1.08 patch. Â This was driving me crazy. Â I've been following every tip in the Troubleshooting forum, including getting rid of dust and improving airflow in my unit to reduce the GPU running temp (I did get a 6C reduction), rebuilding my system (multiple times), and underclocking, all to no avail. Since applying this new NVIDIA driver, graphics performance is much better and no screen freezes or crashes at all. Â Thank you for posting. Â I'm very glad I got the driver before it was pulled. But shouldn't this be in the trouble shooting thread?
