Graphics problems and Crashes,

Hello all, I just got Armed Assault and have so many issues while playing this game. This is pretty much the first game that looks and plays so awful on my computer. I have been running BF2, Far Cry, BF142, FEAR without any major problems on medium resolutions. Being a big fan of OF, I hope to make this game work. Heres the problems I am having.

1. It crashes to the desktop during launch, or during specific missions.

2. I am getting terrible artifacts, buildings look like cardboard boxes, trees look like rectangles.  

Here is the screen shots, you can see the weird artifacts in first one and in the 2nd one, thats the error i get when the game crashes to desktp

My Specs:

AMD Athlon 64 3000+

NVidia 6660GT 128mb SM3 (not overclocked)

2 GB DDR Ram

120GB 8mb HD

SB Audigy 2 ZS

Windows XP Pro SP2

DirectX 9.0c

Hi,

are you using ArmA v.1.07beta+? If not, try it coz it seems to help some people with similar problems.

You should also try some different drivers for your GFX, maybe even some tweaked ones (like this).

Thats all i can think of atm...for more you can check out the other threads from users with the same problem.

Btw maybe you should consider getting a new grafic card, yours is outdated and you wont have much fun with it in the future. Also remember that ArmA is NOT Fear, BF2 or whatever. Its got much higher requirements...

I tried newer Nvidia drivers and that didnt help. My game seems to be crashig to the desktop more often now.

Also I am using the 1.7 patch.

does anyone have any other suggestions
