Display adapter does not support D24S8 forX8R8G8B8

Hi after playing i get the error "Display adapter does not support D24S8 forX8R8G8B8"

This error happends now everytime And ArmA does not render buildings, i only have Bitmaps and can look trough them

Can someone help pls?

If you make a post seeking help with a troubleshooting issue you must post your system specs if you expect any kind of help. And please do not post a DirectX report, it's a mass of gobbledegook which is mostly meaningless.

You should include as a minimum something like:

CPU

Graphics card (make, model, driver version, onboard ram)

Sound card (make, model and driver version)

RAM (how much you have)

ArmA version (which language, which patch)

DirectX version (all should be using 9.0c anyway)

So if I was going to make a troubleshooting post regarding my home PC I would post:

AMD XP 2800 CPU

Radeon 9800 XT 256mb with catalyst 6.9

Onboard Realtek AC97 soundcard with driver v A3.95

1GB Ram

ArmA 1.01 Czech

DirectX 9.0c

oh sorry i was quite in a bad shape so...

AMD x2 4500+

ATI X1900xt 256

2gb ram ddr2 800

winXP prof 32

I played it about 1.02 everything was cool,

but this morning arma is giving me this error ... i can play a bit! but after about 3 min its shutting down and gave me that error

Did you already install 1.05? Or even tried the BETA version 1.05+ ?

Your card should be fine to run the game without this error.

You can play 3 mins..so, did you change your GFX-card driver

lately? (Which one you use for ArmA?)

Did you crank up your settings, before it started crashing?

Did you try out one or more of the tweaks posted on this

forum and *then* it started crashing?

hello,

i using ATI Catalys 7.9 like yesterday

i think its the full 1.05 but i dunno, have it since some weeks.

was the Arma euro patch 1.05.

I was getting hard artefacts before it crashed the first time.

like big black strings on objects all over the screen.

I only installed KB896256 WinXP Update today. Thats all i have changed. But thats for cpu.

ahh and i changed the size of my pagefile.

Did you check your gfx card fan lately?

Is it still working? Dust? Temperature may be too high.

upsey did i say 7.9 ... mean 6.9. But now i use 7.4

And i can play again. No errors yet. I will check my GFX fan may i got to clean it. Do you know a tool showing the gfx temperatur?

EDIT: jesus my english just sux^^
