Armed Assault is not responding to my joystick

I just got it today .... Saitek Cyborg Evo Wireless Flight Stick

I did not install the drivers and software that were on the disc because theyw ere outdated. I went straight to saitek's website and installed the software and driver from there.

The joystick responds to Microsoft's Wzard(?) [Control Panel>Gaming Controllers> Saitek Cyborg's Properties]

All my buttons are responding but when I load up armed assault the choppers do not respond and when I try to map a key in the options it does not respond either.

I'm running Windows XP and AA is v1.05.

Any ideas? This is my first flight stick but not my first controller so I have a little experience with installing these controllers.

ARMA only recognizes one controller. If you have two controllers hooked up, you must unhook/disable the one you're not going to use.

I had to do this with my driving wheel.

I'll unplug the rumplepad 2. Forgot it was wireless .
