1.40 and XP crashes when creating a new MPgame

Ver 1.40 - I allways get a blue screen and reboot when hitting NEW in Multiplayer. Single player still works fine...

Any ideas?!

Patch 1.40 - installed from 1.30, no unofficial addons

Windows XP - no firewall

GeForce 2 - latest drivers

Try re-installing directX 8.1

Hmm...

"Users of Windows XP do not need to install DirectX 8.1. DirectX 8.1 is included in the Windows XP operating system." - nothing happend when I tried anyway :-(

This is a weird problem.

It all worked before 1.40.

Now the moment I hit "NEW" in multiplayer menu i get that bluescreen and reboot...

try clicking your ofp_server.exe to see if it is corrupt

because mine is corrupt ,it says cant find something in the resource.bin

no you need someone to send you their resource.bin after they have updated succesfully...

Bernie install flashpoint and upgrade to 1.30 then go into the bin folder and copy the resource.bin file somewhere safe.....then continue to upgrade to 1.40 then put the resource.bin file back into the folder...i tworked for me .....but still couldnt join through gayspy but i played some dedicated servers......hope this helps a little cya
