METABOLI - I became finally a victim too

I told several times that I never had problems with the metaboli download version of ArmA, I upgraded it twice. Now my disk crashed at the system where it was running before and since I bought a new rig I decided to run there the metaboli version instead of the boxed SE version (which is secured by SecuRom).

I used the 2 installation files I backed up and the e-mail I could restore and installed the whole thing. Without starting the thing after basic installation I upgraded it with the international version of the 1.05 patch. Then I started ArmA - it came with the activation GUI - I copied in my Serial - ACTIVATION FAILED!. Cool, it guards you then directly to the Starforce page, where you can enter the same serial plus a HW key generated by your local activation GUI - to activate it somehow manually. It does something - and shows you a perfect white, blanc page where top left is written "Can't write to log". Do I need to mention that I did not got an answer nor a reception notifier from metaboli as response to my mail? I give them until 12:00 GMT+1 to solve it, then I return the key and claim my money back.

It is not because of BI, it is because of metaboli's poor support.

wow and only 6 minutes later the activation tool works via web.

So I had in total only 9h 35 minutes between my mail and the solution (which was not triggered by my mail.)

DOH! The Activation key I got, I entered into the activation GUI - ArmA started then - crashed the complete PC - and activation key is active and ArmA works with it, but I could not backup the key lol.
