mikupoiss 0 Posted February 26, 2007 ************SPOILER WARNING!************* So, after Alligator, I decided to play newly unlocked Battlefields. First of all - too bad the briefing is a bit off. Possible copied from OpF. Can't check it, but why else do they tell me to conquer the area in the ocean. The map points to the right place though. Anyway, this mission is a bit twitchy. At the beginning, my squad must conquer the town as a secondary mission (i presume). However, most of it gets slaughtered my the Abrams. So, i manage to kill most of the enemies eventually, because Abrams drives off to a nearby field and starts driving back and forth. So, I grab myself AT from a dead American. And trie to attack Abrams. Fire at it. Crew jumps out and I never see them again. Of course, I'm separated from my squad by now, as they're slowly progressing around the town. Then they try to run back? A Stryker appears (don't know exactly from whrere, beacause I'm elsewhere). Try to make it to my squad and Stryker mows me down. Dead? No! I can switch to KA-50 pilot! Take off, though my orders are to "Wait" at the base. Fly towards the town. Reach it. I destroy the stryker, fly around, discover a Vulcan. It doesn't attack me, as I fly over it. Turn around, fly back, it attacks me. I destroy it and some other armoured units, I find. Pop some infantry from the distance with rockets (I love the "scope" of rockets). Then - "Seek and Destroy" appears over the base. I can't find anything/anyone, so I land. Got out of the chopper, found a sniper camping and killed it. And there you go - Mission Complete! Good? Well, yes, but i didn't actually get any "ticks" for goals. WTF? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

n0bby 0 Posted March 5, 2007 Same 'broken' experience (as with so many). Couldn't get anywhere as a Squad member, Alligator pilot or T72 commander. But I finished the mission as the saboteur, blowing up both the Vulcans then heading towards the next waypoint at the large camp. As I got to the corner of the camp walls, the 'Mission Complete' message came up. Job done (apparently)..! Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
monkeyboy27 0 Posted March 5, 2007 Ditto. Its completely broken. I've completed it twice. Both times I got nowhere as the squad member. The commander ordered us across an open field instead of using the forest for cover, and we got slaughtered immediately.I switched to the pilot, and flew over destroying everything. First time round, I killed as many infantry as I could before I ran out of fuel and bailed out, and ran around the base killing everything I could for about half an hour before the mission ended. The second time I played, I got shot down by one of the vulcans when there were still tons of enemy units alive. I managed to eject, so walked into the enemy base, which was suddenly deserted, and all of a sudden "mission complete" appeared. Such a huge dissapointment when I was expecting a re-make of the original battlefields mission. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
