horrgakx 1 Posted February 26, 2007 Hi guys, first post I installed the demo on Saturday and have a couple of questions. Firstly, map legend. I saw on the map a couple of the beach houses were coloured red, also the lighthouse was red and had like a red star symbol next to it. I've checked the Wiki but I can't see reference to them. Would someone be kind enough to tell me what they mean and possibly add it to the Wiki for all to see? Lastly I've got an issue with sound. Please note that I play other games like BF2, BF2142, SHIII, LFS, etc and don't have this issue. The problem is that a helicopter or tank etc. can be a looong way away like it is right next to me. Distance would be JUST be able to see it in the distance. Kind of off-putting because it is just so loud!!! I have EAX and hardware acceleration turned off (I've tried them on too). Scillion 0 Posted February 26, 2007 Those symbols seem to be attached to certain structures. The structures are mostly unique type buildings. As for the sound, I'm pretty sure it's a conflict with the sound card. I saw where you posted in the troubleshooting section, can't add anything to it. I have the LTB ac97 surround sound head phones.
