Intruder 0 Posted February 7, 2002 I agree, the best aircraft for OFP are mostly dedicated attack aircraft for close air support and stuff. Mostly slower jets like the a10, Harrier, A6

You open the bomb bay doors and release all the Mk class iron bombs you are carrying over an unexpecting tank column. Shredding everyone in to pieces. For me Flashpoint did NOT come as a war sim from cold war but a war sim with some of todays war toys and combing ground soldiers with air warfare and tanks. I've been dying for this a long time. Just wanted to drive a tank a little time then switch to a helo. Man Flashpoint is the best.

Heavy yes they are but US said this a long time ago: "Sure fighters are fun but bombers are more important" Okay so supersonic planes would have trouble with the engine But would a bigger island solve this?? then i mean big and by the way TAW i really helps to do rolls as your pic in the signature does. BUT IT won't help against 5 MiG-29m's saw the tracers pass me before i went down.
Sweeper 0 Posted February 10, 2002 a story about the B-1 Lancer: Under an Airshow it got a new name, "Bone Shaker" Cause some photographers were standing at th end of the runway when the Lancer came taxiing on to it. Of course they wound up in the rear of the Lancer and when it started thorottling up one of the photographers Felt some heat. Realising that this only were stage one he dropped his camera and started running away. He got 3 meters before he was knocked down of the jet blast and the haet was stronger and still increasing. So he started Crawling away he didn't get far with that either before the heat stopped him and he just laid still until the Lancer had taken off. He had some burn marks but otherwise he was okay. Today it's ILLEGAL to stand at the end of the Runway.
Lancemate500 0 Posted February 11, 2002 If the VBS comes with a harrierAV8 / seaharrier. A russian Yak freestyler and a mig 23 / mig 27 would be nice. "when you see the flash,, start pointing your flashlight into another direction"
Angry Radish 0 Posted February 11, 2002 Sweeper, If you really wanted this to be a realistic game, I say go ahead and add the B-1, and you don't even have to worry about the framerate or anything, since a realistic B-1 would FOD out most of the time you tried taxiing :-) That, and don't use it in any of the winter maps...what kind of leading edge anti-ice was the plane equipped with again? :-) Don't get me wrong though, I think they are the best looking plane in the inventory, perfect for static displays

The B-1 is fun to fly especially when you need 4 in crew. Have an MiG on your tail?? HIT THE BURNERS PUDDLE. Of course you need to have balanced power output on B-1 like the SU-25 have. -S.I.S.-Necromancer 1 Posted February 12, 2002 a Joint Strike Fighter would do better
Sadico 1 Posted February 12, 2002 A harrier for the americans and a mig-27 for the russians would be great, but what we need is SAMs!!! I've got a BMP-1 addon with SAMs instead of AT missiles and it is great. Also a O-1 Bird Dog would be useful.
