mbs 0 Posted December 23, 2001 Hi, OFP freezes from time to time and it's really annoying... It doesn't seem to be at the same place or time. I have v1.40 and latest BIOS and Graphics driver. My System spec: P3 800 Intel D815EEA board (sound+video onboard) 128 MB Radeon 8500 (overrides onboard) Win 98 SE I will appreciate any help... Thanks! quibbly 0 Posted December 26, 2001 If your using a Nvida card, and the latest Nvida drivers...that is your problem. I'm using a GeForce 3 Ti-500, AMD XP 1.7, Microsoft XP Pro and latest Nvidia reference drivers..I freeze all the time..I rolled back to an older driver, fixed the problem...Make sure you remove the old drivers before you install the new. RN Malboeuf 12 Posted December 27, 2001 While up visting family i grabbed the same MB, or close to it and with a Radeon VE SDR 32 meg and the same dam thing is happening i tested it on a old ATI Rage PRO 16 meg card and it worked fine this one runs cut scenes just fine, but as soon as the mission map loads it goes kaput looks like the Itell chip set or the ATI drivers Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Fishu 0 Posted December 28, 2001 I got Radeon 64mb only, but I had odd 'freezing' or 'stuttering' when zooming into forrest with any kind of sight. I were using 7199 drivers for Radeon (those 1st gen..) I finally decided yesterday to change drivers back to 7153 and freezing/stutter stopped when using sights or being near those big forrests. Even longer ago I had lock up problems with few games and it was solved by uninstalling DX 8.1b and installing DX 8a. Theres some tips to try. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
