Timereaver 0 Posted February 1, 2002 Does anyone know if OPF supports Force Feedback? That would be so cool if it does, imagine the difference flying helis and driving tanks! If it isn't supported, does anyone know why not and if it will be implemented in the future?? Timereaver
LuD 0 Posted February 2, 2002 It isn't, and never will, because BIS is smart! READ this!!!!!!!!!
Timereaver 0 Posted February 4, 2002 Perhaps a valid point, but I am sure most people don't use a force feedback controller for 7 hours per day like this kid did. This is an extreme case which of course serves to build an inflated case against yet another source of recreation for which we all must suffer if it is decided that FF devices must be pulled from the market. Oh well, for the average person who puts in a couple of hours a week, it would have been a nice feature to add realism to the game. Timereaver
LuD 0 Posted February 5, 2002 Uh, that was just a joke. Anywho, he probably just jerked 24/7, and then when problems arose, he blamed it on the joystick... *sheah*. But I suppose this game could use force feedback, but I don't even like using a joystick in this game.
Markofp 0 Posted February 5, 2002 OFP has Force Feedback. I do not know why you think it does not. I have a keyboard , mouse and joystick to play OFP. I use the FF stick mostly for arial vechicales. But it can be used for jeeps, trucks etc.. All my feedback seems to be present. One thing though, theres no in game adjustment, so if you want to do any FF tweaking you have to use a profile manager that came with your joystick.
LuD 0 Posted February 5, 2002 It is? I thought I remember reading something, where someone from BIS said that they do not intend to put force feedback into the game... Ack, mabey that was like 3-4 years ago.
Angry Radish 0 Posted February 5, 2002 I use a logitech I-Feel mouse with OFP, and now I can't imagine playing w/out feeling the recoil when I fire weapons...makes it a completely different game. ....kinda force feedback related....:-)
