Inside/Outside engine sound in AA??

I hope we could define a different sounds of engine when your are inside and outside (first view or 3rd view).

It was a matter that nobody resolved in OFP. For example it was not possible to have the right inside sound in all Airwolf Mod.

Imagine a Rafale or Eurofighter with the sound of engine when the view is ousite and the pilot breathing when your are inside.....

If the developer of AA read this topic, the best should be to have :

- like before the engine sound for outside

- a coef to heard inside this first sound

- and an inside engine sound.

I can't wait this marvellous game....I thank's AA team for all your work.

ArmA will simulate sound waves, so... wink_o.gif

PS: I'm referring to what we already have 'seen' in Elite. (Sound no longer travel through solid objects like walls, cars etc).

Flashpoint supports Sound Waves too. You hear explosions with a delay depending on how far away you are, or do you mean something else?

As for inside/outside. Cockpits have reduced Engine noise, so maybe you could add Breathing inside by setting it up the opposite of Engine sounds (via config?) in Flashpoint?

Havn't heard anything about new sound system like you mean for AA yet.

He ment the fact that hills/urban areas will muffle the sound of tank powerplants, etc wink_o.gif .

Though what I <s>saw</s> heard in the ArmA gameplay video what that a single piece of scrub blocked the sound from an M1A1... that was a bit overdone, but it proves they're working on it smile_o.gif .

The OFrP helos do exactly this except for the breathing part as this depends on the physical state of your soldier, ie running or walking hightens the breathing rate so if your just sitting in a cockpit you wont be out of breath. It could be coded into the aircrafts config i would of thought.

I like this idea - maybe it could be built upon to give weapons differing sounds, eg, one for the firer and one for those unfortunate enough to be downrange? tounge2.gif
