Zedfragg 0 Posted May 16, 2006 Right hello, im a long time ofp player (since 2002) I started playing on a: Athlon XP 1600 (1.5ghz) Nforce Chipset Motherboard 1024MB 3200pc Ram SB Live 5.1 GeForce 4 MX440 128mb And i ran OFP PERFECTLY at 30 frames in a normal mission and at LEAST 20FPS in a MFCTi in a worst case situation maybe 15FPS.... Now... My current pc is a: Athlon XP 3200+ (2.2ghz) VIA Chipset motherboard 1024mb 3200pc ram GeForce 6200 256mb SB live etc and im lucky to pull off 15FPS in an MFCTi at the start of the game...and that rapidly drops to 5FPS and lower... Now i've tried many things to get it running. I've lowered all settings as low as poss (Textures etc) I've tried the Visual Quality to a min, The Frame Rate slider up to full lower res etc nothing helps. Im about to muck about with the Geo Sets but just in before does anyone have ANY idea why it runs so slow on new hardware? Or is it just my bad luck? I've seen alot of older PC's running at 20/35FPS in rough situations and mine decides to crawl along at turtle speed lol. Before anyone asks. No damaged clusters on my HDD No damaged memory in my Graphics card No damage to GPU/CPU No damage to RAM (1 Stick 1024) Any replys will be wonderful as this has to be my #1 game of ALL time. I hope BI get a publisher soon.... Although i don't see why they don't just host ArmA on their site for Å30 and $30...They'll make more money an soon as Publishers see that its actually selling they'd SNAP it up. THANKS! Guest Ti0n3r Posted May 16, 2006 Try switching to newer/older GFX drivers. I had the same problem about a year ago but I solved it by switching to older Nvidia drivers. (Though their latest drivers are even better, as far as I know).

Zedfragg 0 Posted May 16, 2006 Ok at least SOME success.... With Drivers 66.93 all seems sweet, I've done two tests. MFCTi coop (hosting) no addons. MFCTi coop (hosting) w/ Y2K3. Now Normal resistance runs sweet, 30 FPS avg and the lowest it dropped was 14 for about 2 seconds. As for Y2K3 i guess you know the anwser...all hell broke loose my pc stood up and beat the crap outta me.... 8FPS avg 5FPS lowest... Although my opinion Y2K3 wasn't meant for CTI anyways it'd be a ridiculous strain on any computer... So all in all its running fair now and as this is the only game i play anyways i can keep these old drivers installed. Now im happy until ArmA comes out IF it comes out (Thinks of Armed Assault CTI with friends and beer ) Thanks for the help man
