wierd problems with some addons

Recommended Posts

Hi all, new to the forums. I have a problem when i try to use the modulsky. First off, I jut recently installed ofp.

So i only have the stock addons in the res/add0ns folder.

Install went fine, And the sky looks great, only thing is, say if i play the ground attack mission, with the chopper, who must take out the convoy, my gun is invisible, and some vehicles are missing,  i can still shoot it, the FFar missles also are out of wack, and when i reach the convoy, i only see tanks, not the regular troop tucks, ural, just 2 tanks. Do I need certain addons for this to work?

when i run the game without the mod, everything works fine, no visual errors

here are some of the errors i get error loading:

data3d\xm-177e2_proxy.p3d (magic)

same messgae but with ural.p3d, another one during the brefing screen, something about lapisgnne i cant remember.

I trie dusing hiskiy and modulsky, i get the same problem, invisible XM, some missing vehicles. I run ECP and everything is fine, when i try to load either modulsky or hisky, i get those erros, any help appreciated

I was thinking that as well, but if it was, why would thegame run with no errors as long as i dont use modulsky or hisky, I can use ecp and FFur and have no problems, i just reinstalled too =-(

ECP and FFUR have their own data3d files (obviously you haven't tried to install the skies in these mods?). Obviously, they are not corrupted. I'd advise you look on your CD for a data3d.pbo and try again.

Whatever you do, don't copy the data3d files from a mod across! You may FUBAR everything. Just find an original on the OFP cd, and paste it over your buggered one. Then try installing the skies again.

hmm, there's 4 different data3d.pbo's, in different folders, each one is different, what do you suggest? they're different sizes too. so a simple paste over the old file isn't going to work

The one you want (I assume you're playing Resistance) is in Res/Data/Htwl or something like that. Be sure it's from the CD and NOT from a mod. Be sure it's the one before you do anything, and copy copy copy until you're sure it works.
