How do I make it topple and not distort, like the regular BIS fences?

I have added 'Dammage/tree' to the named properties of the Geo lod, thought that was all I had to do crazy_o.gif

The fence needs to have a mass of <100 (or 1000...or mass may not even matter if you have the following named property) as defined in the geo lod.

You should also add a named property to the geo lod:

Name: dammage

Value: tree

Do you have a config for the fence? I don't think a config is required for .wrp placed objects (I could be wrong, wouldn't be the first time), but maybe you could place the fence piece in the editor and see if you get different results. Failing that, the only thing I can think of is the mass of the fence might be too high, try lowering it.

Yeah it has a config, and the fence is placed in the editor. I've reduced the mass down to 10, and the fence still doesn't fall over and it is still distorting, but I can drive a tank through it now, so I'm one third of the way there.

in the CfgVehicles part of the config try putting this in wink_o.gif
