cargo 0 Posted August 25, 2001 check what type of ping you get, try to go with players at 200ms or less. Lower your firewall settings to low Gamespy blows goats on toast, its constantly sending background info and doubling the ping times. On my poor old 56k i can host 8 ppl in the states from the uk in flight sims, 6 ppl happily on Rogue Spear in the zone, and the most i can handle in OFP so far is 4, but I'll always take 6 because some invariably fail to get to the pool. Once I'm in the game it runs fine, but it's getting past the connection stage that sucks right now. Apart from the fact that the type of players you get in gamespy isn't what i'm used to from other games... isn't there anyone out there interested in fun, honest helpful games, or is it all abusive "net rage" ..
