Ironsight 1 Posted August 26, 2005 when i load up my .p3d in bulldozer i cant see itive got all the faces facing the right way i cant see whats wrong i get no error messages i cant figure out why i cant see it, and that means i cant really texture it well i can but i wont have a clue what it looks like anyone have any ideas ? How big is the model (could be that you are looking inside the structure)? How many faces does it have (the more faces, the longer buldozer needs to load)? Try this: Center the model, restart buldozer, press num-enter in buldozer. Hope this helps
456820 0 Posted August 26, 2005 well the size of the .p3d without the texture files is 2.01MB the actual model is quite small the cam in bulldozer wont start inside it i tried your idea and didnt work when i restarted bulldozer i came up with a green screen with a white box in the middle of the screen with some weird line in the middle ? im not sure how to find out how many faces a model has im a bit of a newb at addon editing im getting no loading signs like i sometimes get i 100% installed bulldozer i can load up other files like weapons and units etc etc just not this model ? thanks for trying though
Ironsight 1 Posted August 26, 2005 well the size of the .p3d without the texture files is2.01MB ......... im not sure how to find out how many faces a model has im a bit of a newb at addon editing im getting no loading signs like i sometimes get Your model is too big to load it in Buldozer. Buldozer can handle up to 10.000 faces with my 256mb ram but it depends on how much RAM you have. You can see how many faces and points a model contains in the bottom left corner of O2
456820 0 Posted August 26, 2005 righ tive got the faces and amount of points faces = 1900 points = 1516 so if the model is to big how should i shrink the file size without doing to much to the model ?
Ironsight 1 Posted August 26, 2005 righ tive got the faces and amount of pointsfaces = 1900 points = 1516 Find that amount a bit hard to believe since the model is 2.1mb, are you sure you are not reading the selected faces? You can solve it by reducing the amount of faces so it will load in buldozer

Because it's 2.1mb for a small 1900 faces model. Normally a model like that is around 200kb IIRC
