Major Add:

Maybe if you guys get the stories I might be able to get you guys to start joining this temporary team, well here we go

Operation: Call to Arms

Story takes place after Tonal is set as one of the major Battlefields of WW3. You play as a seperate squad of middle easterns fighting for your homeland of America (War is started by Iranians). As you fight to declare your right to be American, Iran sets up Tonal as a launching pad for Nucluer holocaust. You will play in many urban city fights pushing enemy soldiers out, hold border zones from counter attacks, steal enemy outposts for gaining territory for the largest raid in the 21st century the raid of 400 nukes with 5 battalions of Iranians ready to give there lives up for there leader.

Operation: Cold Line

As part of a double sized battalion you will protect Slovakia froma major assault that would consume Sloakia and its inhabitants. You will be part of huge border protection missions, gurella warefare battles, and prison breaks.

Operation: Orders from Russia

The last few days of the WW3 operation will beplayed as a Russian Spetznatz. You play as one of a 2 man team protecting an officer who can stop Last Light from detonation. You will play in many assaults, raids, convoys, and betrayel missions.

And hpefully this

Operation: Coded War

Months leading up to WW3, will be played as a 6 man International Black Ops team. Your orders are to Protect and Assist Malden Forces from Iranian Take Over. Later on you will go to Slovakia and Eliminate the two officers leading the advance into Slovakia, then fly into the middle east to find and kill or capture the man who sold the Last Light codes for the Nucluer detonation and finally depart for Africa to asist Spetznatz as they deactivate the nucluer devices.

Well that is all I have right now and hopefully the last.

All positions still needed and the deadline for starting each operation starts on Friday so if you want to be part of this reply st this forum and I will add you to the position you want.

Also if you are familiar with the editor but not very, very experienced you are welcome to join to as I am the same way. Thanks in advance if anyone helps out.

Just adding Tommorow at 8:00PM Central Time is the deadline for when I got to get all the team members sorted out and informed about what is going on. I hope if you do want to join the team that you will reply tonight U.S. time so I can get everything of mine sorted out and become easier to get info passed out tommorow. Also as of next week I will be spending a tiny bit of time each day undrstanding how to make addons as I want a couple addons that don't exist or new ones need to be out.

Here is what I want to see if I can do this:

10th Mountain

New Modern Day Desert U.S. infantry that look like Over There uniforms. (Closest one I got is HYK'S Modern)

Striker (Military Armoured wheeled personal Carrier) (Real don't no if used yet).

Hopefully if I learn how to use these tools I can try this but I have some new postion available addon makers for units, aircraft, sea, and Objects no weapons because I will again hopefully use some packs out there.

I know I have been adding more to the list of jobs and campaign ideas but Haven't been able to sit done for more than a couple of minutes or just forgot. Hopefully I will get most, more, or as many positions filled by tommorow.

Also if I don't reply tommorow it means I'm busy and I will reply later that night or early that morning.

Warning: If you haven't read all the replies and postings I have put, is that their are no read mes, no breifings but in game text brief on screen.  Very laggy on slower computers but I'm used to laggy due to the size of the battles in my missions.  Also this may not be as high quality as a lot of missions but mission editing for OFP is my passion so if I'm good I'm good but I'm bad I'm bad.

I have an addon request as seeing that making addons are way to complcated for me that I could get some help with this:

I wanted to know if anyone wanted to be a temporary addon maker for this project I would like to have 3 but by the looks of it I will be lucky if I can get half of the team I need. But here it goes:

Retextured HYK Units or New U.S. units

U.N. Forces easiest way is probably rexturing like the BAS Infantry Kit

Striker (Best solution updating the LAV with new textures and weapons).

10th Mountain Desert

Body Effects( More of scripting and making) Like gore, blood and death animations for the special cutscenes

Nuke Effect (Script only)

Wounded Pull Out Script( Like your teamate gets incap someone will pick him up and bring him to medic or near by medical facility

Island Creating(Maybe one island with different terrians like Homeland but with African, middle eastern, and other small terrians.

That is the basic addon making I need right now if anyone could help me please reply. Also, all positions are still opened so you can get the position you want. Hopefully I will get some people. whistle.gif

Added: I will hopefully have a small video for you guys for this upcoming project. But you will need all the downloads for the eots campaign first page. Also hyk units that use jam 2 it is the one that only has desert rangers not woodland rangers. Tank kill script from OFP.INFO. Plus the Lav from the pack with the retextured marines but don't put the marines exspecially if you have earl and sucheys marine pack because I got sound problems where everything becomes mute but you can fix it by taking it out. The video is not to euducational but its something exspecially without giving screenshots hope you like them when it comes out.

I'm sorry I didn't reply as soon as possible but got caught up in a lot of things. As of now I am by myself on this project unless I get guys over the months. Also because I am by myself the planned release date for this year has been scraped to later 2006 unknown. I will have a small little video on Tonal saying just a little tiny bitty part of the story and of how many missions are going to be planned, also a couple of addons that will be used. Hopefully it will be out but you will need all the requried addons for EOTS first page and tank kill script, hyk units with jam 2 and the lav form the retexture of eands marine pack with the lav. Only use the Lav. band.gif

Hello there again sorry not getting here on time but I got really sick with the flu and a lot of bloody noses, but I have gotten much better but haven't gotten riden of the flu but it should be gone this week but here we go my first small video for Project Last Light. It requries all EOTS addons except the LSR stuff and it also needs filming pack, tank parts (killscript), and HYK'S Jam2  Modern Soldiers, and the LAV 25 from the Marine Retexture. I have one question to the community do you think I am wasting my time on this project, please answer with a yes or no and a small sentence explaining why you answered that.

Also update on Project:

Moving project toward a new direction toward realism.  All urban battles I am hoping to recreate urban tactics from an urban combat manual.  I will be recreating hopefully large scale urban battles that will take maybe an hour each to complete ingame as you are not rambo you will follow your orders, like covering teams as they move to cover,  wait till you get radio confirmation,  Holding off in a building as yyou wait for snipers and mgs to take out heavily protected snipers, rpgs, mg nests, and other battle situations.  I will also make real large open battlefields where you have not that much cover except hills or maybe other things like bodies.  One more thing I am hoping to make a living breathing world after every mission so that you can talk to your teamates or listen to the radio or go to the shooting range or risk your life and leave the base exploring the cities.

I will also have a large ten minute video hopefully soon(maybe end of month) showing off what has been done and maybe showing off this living breathing worlds

Features I want to put in

Living Breathing World

Random screaming, radio, voice, sounds happening in the base and out in the battlefield

Scripts that I want to put in but probably won't happen

Weapon Jaming

Blood effects on body(If bullet hit through the left eye blood will apear there).

Realism Pack (Bullet whizzing, shellshock,new wounded animations,weapon random(like dents, peelings,rust on the weapons), Soldier talking between themselves.

I have decided with all the work I am hoping to put into this with the operations,addons,scripts,animations into a mod(But may change into a campaign only).  I have tried my best at making addons but it is wayu to complicated for my mind so I really hope I can get a tteam that will help me if you want to help please email or post here.

Today is a great and a sad day for me.

Great news: Tomorrow Bambi's Black Ops will be released(Hope so) and I will get some work done on Operation:Coded War with those bad boys.

Bad News: Progress on Project Last Light is moving very very slowly with the lack of response or help with the project. Because I am working by myself I can't make some of the locales I was so hoping I would present. I am still hoping to have that realistic feel. I am hoping to release a small video that maybe wet your whistles. It will show you the Urban combat and other battles on the locales that I do have. The features I have also promised are not going to come true again because of th elack of team and inexperience of myself. This might start sounding like I am just talk but I am promising this I will do my best to bring one last Project to the old OFP that will be as realistic as I am capable. I will keep you informedas soon as I can because I will be using my father's laptop due to the fact that my anti virus is coming due. But I will hopefully have internet and anti virus up and running when I get my new computer but don't worry I will keep you informed at least once a week.

Major Update on Project: Weeks Before the Light

  This project has started up due to the fact that all the addons I need have all been released.  

Operation: Coded War

This op will take a very dark path of a Classified Black Ops team consisting of 4 men.  You will play on Everon, Malden, Tonal, Slovakia, and Afghanistan in missions of very high importance.  You will first play on the Malden Islands repelling with the Malden forces against Iranian guardsman.  After you coplete your objectives there you will play in the largest border battle in this war.  You will be pitt against hundreds of oncoming Iranians that want to capture the country. Soon after the defeat you will move on with your battered team into stealth missions against Middle Eastern Resistance and their Corrupt Leader.  And lastly, you will fight along side the Spetz Natz team tha could save the world, or fail and let the world go into nucleur holocaust. notworthy.gif

Also I checked how many people downloaded the PLL intro video and no one has downloaded it. But I will have a long, long video with all the battling and other little things out hopefully by the end of the month but I ain't saying it will happen for sure. Also I should have a Mission avaibable for testing is September code named "Cold September" It will be in Afghanistan in one of the major cities. There will be a lot of fx in this mission but runs pretty well on my machine.

Cold September Brief

This mission plays out like this, you wake up in the recently captured city of Mazar e Sharif by the noises of heavy machine gun and rifle fire. You run to cover and you see one of the men go down. Your LT tells you to look in the direction he is pointing and you see 2 heavily emplaced mgs on a destroyed Building overlooking your position. Soon after that your ordered to pick up the sniper rifle from the downed comrade you saw before and you try to pick the mgs out. Soon after that techs. come right in front of your teams cover and the LT. orders fire on them. A U.S. heavy weapons squad relives your position and you hunt down the last remaining Middle Eastern Guardsman. Soon after that you will take part in a standerd convoy protection mission while you are the gunner. That is the mission that will be sent out to wet your whistles for a while in September(Again Hopefully). This mission has been completed but is very rough and in Alpha testing to fix all the bugs and problems on the mission. Also Cold September will not be included in the Project and is only a very rough idea on how our real missions will look like. But Cold September will be added upon every oncew and a while to show what our progress looks like from that point.

One last thing if anyone knows how to take screenshots in OFP that would be apreciated so I can show the work that has been done to the Projects and Cold September. Have a good day everyone !!!! notworthy.gif

Once again I have an Update:

I will have an island for this mod but I am using the Mission Editor to make it. If anyone has the time (I am not requesting) and has the experience of importing mission editor created maps could you help me because I would really like to use this map for this project it is based on not a real nation but a combination of islands and nations like Tonal, Afghanistan, Iraq. It has a rich and poor sections all around this really large city. But it is only 1% done. notworthy.gif

Once again today I will open my big mouth. First off Placebo could you change the title of this topic to "PLL" I was just wondering (Don't have to). Ok second off my Iraqish map has got a small part of the city, a army outpost, and a small crate and harbor point. This island is being built upon the soil of Desert Island is is requiring a lot of Addons. But not too many (About 5 so far). I should have the island done before School starts because I am working on this thing every minute of the day except eat, sleep, and rest. I was wondering if anyone wanted this map to be out the day it is finished or if I should wait and include it in my Campaign/Mod. Also if anyone wanted to add a airport pm me because I have no idea what to do. This map will suit my missions well but I wish I could make through the Map MAker instead of the Mission Editor but here is the description.

The map is supposed to look like a Modern Iraqi City but looks more like a combination of Countries that blend well together. Because this is my first experience creating a map this will not be in standerd with like Tonal, or Strike Island. But I will make it as good as I can make it. This city will be more leaning toward snipers and mgs. The rooftops are very dangerous for the people walking around on the long thick roads. Close quarter battles will happen more inside the city. And small tank battles around the city Mosque and City Hall. I am hoping this will be a good map to statisfy until Goon's Najaf or the High Detailed Combat Zone are released. I will update you as soon as I have info so stay tuned. rofl.gif

As of today I have worked on my map as soon as i got it. But progress on the map is good and I have almost the whole left side of the Desert Island is almost complete. This island I am now considering it to become a International Island that will have buildings from Africa, Iraq, Afghanistan, America. This map has a Military Outpost, and a Middle Class, Poor City to the Left.

Well today I have some more news about Island "Last Light City" This city has been in progress ever since I mentioned it. It is on the Desert Island and I have almost covered the city in America, Africa, Iraq, And Afghanistan. The buildings and mix in my opinion mix very well considering they are different. The island itself is almost 35% done. But I will be spending at least a couple more weeks on it. I want to release it to the public in at least Beta form by October 17th my birthday as a present from me to you guys. Hopefully you will see it in the upcoming Mission Cold September. That map won't be able to be used as a regular map. If anyone could help me import the mission into a map that would be helpful.

Also, next weekend for the map I will have a private Alpha test or look at version of the map if you want to be in it please reply back.

Hi once again I will post a reply,

I have ceased development for Project Last Light for about two weeks to give me a lot more time on the International Island. I will change the private alpha testing into a public testing as soon as I get my map into alpha stage, but be warned this is not a complete map because the all of the right side isn't done. And also because I haven't made a map before this this map is considered a mission due to the fact that no one has helped me make it into a full fledged map. But I am hoping if you guys look st this map you might get interested enough to help me out. This map has a little bit of every thing it has a heavily influenced New York City part very large once done, a African, Iraq, Afghanistan style city with with small parts of each culture. if anyone has a way of talking screenshots of Ofp I can get screenshots of my island. nener.gif Have a great week everyone!

You can make screenshots by using dxdll.

When you use dxdll you can make screenshots with the print key.

Also a couple updates on the Island:

My map is nearing the end of Desert Island which means once completed I will rework the island and test it for bugs so the island is perfect. These are the addons that I am curently using for this island but might not be limited too,

Hi progress on the International Island is coming to its 50% mark. But here is the deal, I have started running low on ideas and have to think a little longer for what to create on the other side of the island. But here we go, I have given a lot of thought, and unless I don't get any replies about this, I am asking what do you want to see on that other side. I probably can accept only a couple of ideas but all of you through your ideas out there and once I got all the ideas I will choose a couple of them and I will tell you which ones after I am done, please try giving countries and nations that OFP doesn't have right now.

These are the ones that I got from my email, my favorites are Hong Kong and Falluagh. The only problem is the fact that it wouldn't be a full sized city due to the fact that I am using Desert Island and I am hitting the half way mark. Please if you want to see what I am talking about go to Desert Island hit the middle where the island goes narrow go to the right. Also once I get the final ideas to build these I need a Building Pack or more. I want to make thes cities as modern as possible to realistic fact. Just to remind these are not the final results. Again I have a update on all things of this project:

Island Progress: 49%

I am just finishing up on the military residential area of my half of the map, which means I will cease development for a couple days and wait for replies if not I will think of something else! Also I have tested the map with a couple combat scenarios, and I have been able to get some really cool urban battles for the Middle Eastern, African area with some on foot action. The only real big problem I am facing is the roads. I have been experienceing some major problems with AI cars on roads they will go to slow or they will try to find a better route like just finding a better road. If anyone can help me with this that would be aprreciated. The roads are as straight as possible and I have alley ways and smaller roads leading else where.

Project: Weeks Before the Light Progress 3%

I say 3 percent because I haven't worked on it since the Island started what I have right now is a long intro and a Mission with Israli armed forces attacking a small ammo dump in Mazar E Sharrif

Project Last Light Progress 10%

Cold September is completed and is going through extensive beta testing to make sure it is bug free. Should have it released in a week with a little present to all who download it! Progress with Last Light is going well but like the other project it is stopped for a while till the island for part of these projects is completed.

I have a small request even though I'm not supposed to (Please no negative reply) if I can a experienced or any kind of addon maker to help me with this project.

These are the things I wanted to do:

Nogoven Armed Forces (Instead of the Resistance army)

Striker Armoured Personnel Carrier

Hummvee (Here is what I want to do is let passengers shoot out side of doors)

U.S. Armed Forces (Marines, Army, Special, Rangers, Medical, Engineers, Tankers, Air, Sea)

I know this is a long list and could take months but I am willing to help with what I can do.

Please if you respond please

1. Don't state that this is a request and I should not do it because I do know and I am not requesting anyone to do it I am only asking for help

2. Please state what you can do and what you want to do if you want to do Air, Units, Sea, Tanks/trucks.

I have and the some good, bad, great, and ugly news.

Great: I have been getting some great time working with the island and porjects. I have been giving it a lot of thought and I have no replies so I have been giving this project to days and the winner is unless I gett replies before Saturday a mix of Falluagh and Baghdad. I did this to make to large cities for middle eastern fighting but with a taste of different countries. Also I have about 6 to7 before indo becomes a little quieter like maybe 1 to 2 posts per week. I am going to make this Iraqi city a untouched city with no battle damage, and no other countries except for itself. But to do this I need a middle eastern city pack that dipicts a modern middle eastern city please reply telling me what pack I should use thx this is much appreciated.

Ugly: Cold September test failed due to a major bug in the first part. This is being fixed don't worry but this is causing it to go into a couple more tests for a couple more weeks due to last vacations, and organizing school.

The really big problem I am acing is no help with addons. I wish I could get a team to work addons but again I think I think I will be using the great addons of the community. rofl.gif

I am very sorry to say this but like cold september we have a glitch in the island but don't be alarmed this will be fixed. The only really big problem is that my antivirus ware is becoming to the next subscription year. So info and demos,betas whatever will be a lot slower due to the fact that I will use my father's laptop but I can only use it on weekends. But I have two more days and before this becomes true I will hopefully have fixed the glitch and send an alpha test of the uncompleted and non usable in mission editor unless you no how sometime tommorow or on tuesday.

Also I have work on a another(yes another) very small project working with a squad called the scarcrows on Gaia helping Hazmat and Civilian forces beat back immortal zombies that won't stay dead. This project probably won't even be released until Chrismas when I have the extra time without the other projects.

Modern Iraq City part is being worked on as I speak. This map will based on maps and pictures I have seen. This city is being based on Baghdad and Falluagh pics found on Google. This city will have battle damage representing abuse or war like the Iraq War, but it will be untouched by any cultures that are found in my map. This city has all the modern things you would expect sidewalks, roads, and big buildings. This part of the city will also have a layout like Mogadishu but will be untouched by African cutlture. Sorry also because of the heavy work being done and I want you all to have the whole map to look at, in my judgement I have postponed the release date for a couple more weeks.

Story of Team Scarecrow:

This project is based on a fictionus war against the invicible undead. You are against these foes but also a reival gang against the gang that you protect in your city and bases. Your objectives are to keep the population from getting eaten by the undead. But you also have to feed these foes so they don't break down the fences. You will have to kill enemy soldiers and gangs and leave them there to be feed to the zombies. TYou will also have to get supplies and other things to your population, hazmat teams, and your Scarecrow team. xmas_o.gif

Hi against my better judgement am releasing my International island. The Iraq oart of the city is not complete and is just showing a little of what the big part will look like. 2 things though

1. Because of time I haven't been able to contact all addon parties about using their addons but will do so as soon as I got time (I.E. maybe after this).

2. This is not considered an island so don't try finding this in your mission editing island folder. This is considered an island but if I can get you guys interested you guys might help.
