Dadster 0 Posted January 16, 2002 This mission has five objectives, the first one is to relax, which of course you can't complete. My problem is with the fourth and fifth objectives: Fourth: Defend the base Fifth: Call in air suppport from the USS Midway and retreat to Saint Louis If I stick around, defend the base, and kill all the bad guys the game just ends and I can't complete the fifth objective. If I kill all the tanks, call in air support, and retreat to Saint Louis it tells me I didn't complete the defend the base objective. I've even once killed all the tanks and all the ground troops prior to calling in air support and still the game just ended and I never had the opportunity to complete the fifth objective. Now, I have been able to get positive points on this mission by not getting any X's other than the first objective. However, I can't complete this mission and get a checkmark next to all the objectives except the first. Has anyone actually been able to do that? Is that a bug? Am I missing something here? Thanks a ton for any help. I won't tell you how many times I've attempted this mission because it's too embarrassing, but it's driving me nuts that I haven't been able to get all the checkmarks. Dr Jekyll 0 Posted January 16, 2002 Apparently there is no way to defend your base "by the script", it migth be possible but the mission is not designed for that to happen.
Damage Inc 0 Posted January 16, 2002 That's because it sets the objective to failed no matter what happens.
Dadster 0 Posted January 16, 2002 Thanks guys. Â So apparently this is a bug and all those attempts were in vain. Â Oh well. Â Â Dadster PS: By the way, how can you determine this? Is it through use of the editor? Thanks.
