Tutorials?

Recommended Posts

Alright, Im trying to make a cool mission, but its going to require a lot of tutorials. Im not a scripter because is very ?confusing? So i use the cool command in th init field. So if anyone can direct me to a utorial that will teach me how to get AI to open a gate and do a bunch of other cool FDF MOD stuff, cause I like that MOD ALOT.

Also, any chance anyone could teach me how o export a single mission to the editor, cause im trying to learn that way to. (ex. Battlefields) biggrin_o.gif

About opening and closing gates, I suggest you find a mission that does that already and learn by example.

To learn by example, you'll need to "export" such a mission to the mission editor. To do that, search The FAQ for "unpbo". UnPBO is the standard tool to use to unpack an OFP pbo file.

Once you've unpacked a mission, you'll have a mission folder and its file contents. Place the folder in the following OFP directory:

\Users\<span style='color:red'>yourPlayerName</span>\Missions

Then you'll be able to access and update it in the editor.

Sometimes, it's easier to view mission and script code in a regular text editor.

Be patient. It takes time to become a mission maker. Looking forward to you becoming a new master mission maker. Good luck!
