Nvidia Geforce4 Ti 4200 ( 128mb)

When i am playing my game Operation Flashpoint, and i alt tab, my computer restarts itself, i didint mind it much, but now its getting to me, sometimes it does it even when i havnt alt tabbed. When the map is recieving data it sometimes restarts itself.

When Windows comes back up, it gies me an error saying Windows has recoverd from a serious Error.

Any help is greatly apreciated.

I believe this has nothing to do with the hard-disk, unless you have numerous read/write-errors in the eventlog but then it should happen with any game or app pretty much all the time.

Right-click "my computer" and click on "manage". Check the application and system log under eventlog. Double-click the lines with a red X and tell us what you see.

3 possible solutions the way I see it:

A graphics-driver issue, bad ram-module(s) or DirectX-issue.

I'd try re-installing or upgrading the DirectX and try a different graphics-driver.

But we need more info to be sure on anything.

What is idriver.exe?

Did that error occur at the same time?

Had the same problem. Deactivated Hardware acceleration for the sound in DirectX (Start-Run-"dxdiag"). No more errors.
