CANT INSTALL RESISTANCE

Hi when i try to install resistance i get this problem that says its missing the addon/o.pbo or something like that can some1 help me out i really want to play it.

Must be a Problem with your CD Drive or the Resistance CD.

CWC (Cold War Crisis) has no O.PBO, so this one can`t be missed.

Wich is your CWC Version Number.

EDIT:

Loocked into the Readme, Install should work with any CWC Installation.

wish i read that, before but i fixed it by just copying resistance and isntalling it off the burnt copy. then putting in the orginal resistance cd and it works. my resistance cd is messed up for some reason, probably scratched on that one part or something. thanks for your help.

Is this the path to your CD Drive?

When you use the windows explorer and click on the O.pbo, did you get an error messege?

yea thats my cd rom drive. im just trying to install resistance and its locking up at the addons o.pbo one i need a fix or something

Look in the Hardware Manager for System Devices.

There will be some entry like VIA, SIS or Intel.

OK, go GOOGLE search for Intel Chipset drivers, download the drivers, install them, try to install Resistance. And report if this works.

There is no CWC Version higher than 1.46. Install of Resistance should work. Can you try to use another CD Drive?

no im using a laptop. therefor one drive. i even just tried copying the resistance folder from the cd to the hd

CWC is Cold War Crisis, this is the Title of Flashpoint.

I never tried to install OFP on an Laptop, but that should work aswell.

What kind of Laptop do you use? Can you give more info?

its an hp ze5570 intel 2.6 ghz 512 ram dx9 ati mobility radeon 7500

There is one more thing you can try. Ask your friends if someone has an external CD Drive with USB Port. If so, you can attach the external Drive to youre Laptop. If youre CD Drive is the Problem, this should work. And maybe other people has other ideas?

EDIT:

There should be a special Driver package designed for youre Laptop. On Intel Website under support you should find that.
