pogingwapo 0 Posted November 25, 2004 Now the question:how did the author made a retexture of these units without degrading the image files? How is it done using GIMP?

That's the easiest way to convert to PAA/PAC. [b said: Quote[/b] ]How is it done using GIMP?If GIMP is anything like Photoshop, then you'd want to play with the Hue/Saturation of the image. Once you find a color that you'd like, you would apply the same changes to all related textures.
pogingwapo 0 Posted November 25, 2004 I tried that hue/saturation thing but the textures degraded
newiy 0 Posted November 25, 2004 Hue/Saturation doesn't degrade textures! Not for me, and I use GIMP. Maybe changing the colour makes noise more visible? Maybe this is caused by recompressing an already compressed format?
Apollo 0 Posted November 25, 2004 Looks nice ,and easely hideable. (well except for radar) Is it me or does those bmp's look resized though?
belgerot 33 Posted November 25, 2004 They are re-sized, I think the problem is with the original BIS BMPs they were incorrect scale(a bit too big I believe), the CSLA mod also has made their own BMPs. I trust FDF and CSLA with their models, last time I saw a BMP was a few years ago, so my memory isn't too good of it. These look pretty good, I am very impressed with Aeon's work recently, it is good to see updates every once in a while.
