wass24 0 Posted July 26, 2004 This might be a really stupid question, but how can I view my p3d in the WrpTool so it's easier to place my objects? Thanks.
Metalmalte 0 Posted July 28, 2004 uhm, there is a Odol Explorer that can help you out with that problem. WRPTool is a unoff. program so i think no one will help ya here!
Crowley 0 Posted July 28, 2004 He wants to view them within Wrptool though, so he can place them accurately, I don't think OdolExplorer helps with that. I haven't a clue, but I'm sure if someone does know whether it's even possible they will speak up. Then again, people around here don't always seem to eager to share.... Guest RKSL-Rock Posted July 28, 2004 This isnt the right place to discuss this...WRPTool isnt supported by BIS... BUT...I assume you're gettin a blue square instead of your model. You need to Binarise your addon first. You can download it from the Breathe site if you havent already got it.
wass24 0 Posted July 29, 2004 It's mainly an ODOL Explorer question since I can't get my p3d to show up in it. When I click on my p3d in the left column an Info box pops up and says "Model has MLOD format, do you want to load it in Oxygen?" If I wanted to load it in Oxygen, I would have opened it in Oxygen. I have the Binarize tool, but I don't know how to use it. What goes in the binarize folder and what do I need to modify?
Metalmalte 0 Posted July 30, 2004 uhm, about binarize check the editors depot at ww.ofpec.com leone from Gulf War Crisis mod made a small tutorial for binarize. (u need XP i think)
Guest RKSL-Rock Posted July 30, 2004 You wont get anyting to show in ODOL Explorer without binarising it. There are two ways to use it... Command line - This uses a DOS box and you type in the commands Col Klinks GUI - This is probably the easiest way that i'd recomend. Â You can get it hereHERE When you download Binarise follow the installation instructions. Place your models folder inside the binarise directory Quote[/b] ]c:\binarise\myaddon Its important to note that if you have used textures from another folder eg o,Data or another addon that folder also needs to be in the binarise directory too. Drop Klink's BinariseIT.exe in the Binarise folder. Then double click the icon. Find your addon folder in the list and click Binarise it button. Now go back to your Binarise directory and look for the Opt directory and you'll find a new directory in the called "myaddon". Â Inside that is the optimised files together with all the textures that are needed for it. Quote[/b] ]c:\binarise\opt\myaddon You can now view those p3d's in ODOL Explorer. After that you're on your own.
