MythPro1 0 Posted July 22, 2004 Hi all, just came back from about a year off of OFP. Im fully updated and (v. 1.96) everything works perfectly except for one small problem. The addons I put into the addons folder (PBO Files) do not show up in the editor. I know they are in the correct spots because they were the exact same addons that I used before and worked perfectly. I tried using Kegety's Winter Kolgujev and Vehicles Addon. Nothing will show up in the editor. Has anyone else experienced this problem and know how to fix it? I looked at the information for mod folders but I do not think that information will be helpful to me.
theavonlady 2 Posted July 22, 2004 Did you put the addons into mod folders or one of two of OFP's own addon folders? Why are you using Winter Kolgujev when you should be using the later and greater Winter Nogojev? If you do, make sure to read the ReadMe about deleting the old winter island and vehicle files. Did you set up your mod folders structure correctly? Example: \Operation FlashPoint\WinterMods\AddOns
MythPro1 0 Posted July 22, 2004 Nope I didn't think doing mod folders was necessary, i just put all of the PBO files into Operationflashpoint/Res/Addons folder. Its what I did last itme i played OFP and it worked perfectly.

Also, get rid of the old winter addons and install the new ones I mentioned.
Harlock_GBase 0 Posted September 7, 2004 Well, i tried making mod folders, so i made a @SEBNam Folder in my OFP Root Directory and put everything SEBNam related in there (means Addons subfolder and everything...) but then when i started a Nam-Mission it came up with SEBNam-Addons xy not found... do i have to put the missions in the mod folder as well?? somebloke 0 Posted September 7, 2004 Try taking the addons out of the folder, starting ofp, then exiting ofp, then stick the addons back in the folder.

No. Your Nam addons should be in: @SEBNam\AddOns Your shortcut to OFP should include: -mod=@SEBNam Often, a syntax error with the shortcut's -mod switch causes OFP to start up without some or all of the mod folders. For example, did you type "-mod" or just "mod"? Big difference!
Harlock_GBase 0 Posted September 8, 2004 Ok, now i have the @SEBNam folder... then i made an Addons,a Res/Addons and a Missions Folder into that and copied the SEBNam Files in there, but when i start with the shortcut wheter the Addons nor the missions are shown in the game... No. In your "@SEBNam" folder, the only subfolder you should have is "AddOns" and all of your needed Nam addons should only be in there. You cannot make a Missions folder within a mod folder. OFP won't pick that up. You can, however, make subfolders within OFP's own "Missions" folder. So you might want to add a "Vietnam" subfolder to OFP's "Missions" folder, in this example. Harlock_GBase 0 Posted September 8, 2004 Sorry, one more question: what about addons that go int Res/Dta or Worlds Folders? as an example i have the custom anims, and the Anim.pbo goes into Res/Dta...do i have to put it in the original OFP Directory or can i put it into a mod folder? Also in the mod's AddOns folder? Thanx and sorry for bothering you....

Also in the mod's AddOns folder? You can have DTA, BIN, ADDONS and CAMPAIGNS subfolders within a mod folder. You should install custom anims and similar mods in mod folders, so as not to mess up your original OFP files and folders. MISSIONS and MPMISSIONS folders are not recognized by OFP within mod folders. If I'm not mistaken, WORLDS folders are also not recognized by OFP within mod folders.
