Problem with.....

Recommended Posts

Ive upgraded my ofp up to 1.95b the only addons im using at the moment r - Marine assualt pack (ecp) ECP 1.07 and tonal pack

The problem is when i install ne of the Bas helos and Delta ranger pack, i load up the mission editor and try them out....when the helo guns fire they sound becomes distorted and when i quit right out of the game my machine restarts itself!!

im currently running XP2000+ 1GB ddr ram (400mhz) 75gb HD

XP home addition

Im only seeming to have probs with the bas stuff apart from the tonal pack

What file date/time stamps do you have for the following files:

bas_lbs.pbo

bas_lbs185.pbo

bas_soar.pbo

bas_soar185.pbo

bas_mah60.pbo

bas_soarpilots.pbo

BAS_Repair.pbo

JAM_Magazines.pbo

JAM_Sounds.pbo

Are all of the above files in one folder or in separate mod addon folders?

The BAS LBs were released in 2002 so you're not being accurate with your dates.

Also, does the problem exist if you run OFP with the BAS addons but without the ECP mod?

Can you give the exact dates and times for all of the files I listed?

Also, is your motherboard based on a VIA chipset? Do you have an SB Live audio card?

The SOAR files were updated with the BAS Blackhawks and should all have a date in 8/2003.

Never heard of it. Did you check the MB manufacturer's or Cmedia's site for updated audio drivers?

It just seems to b when the Chaingun fires on the Dap Blackhawk causes the sound to become distorted but then it causes all the other sounds of firing to go the same way until my machine restarts

Thank u for helping though unclesam.gif

Don't know if this will help but search The FAQ for "onboard sound".

Frankly, I wouldn't be suprised if the problem was resolved by puchasing a minimally decent (that excludes an SB Live) audio card.

Have you played around with all the possible combinations for hardware acceleration and EAX?
