DDT GoodGuy 0 Posted December 11, 2001 delta force 2 looks pretty kewl and looks like it has more action but on the other hand ofp is better for vehicles and is alot more strategic in co-op what is better and why?
Pete 1 Posted December 11, 2001 df2 is the ultimate game..it is really a lot of fun and has very little lag online, but it has been brough down to the mud by cheaters...playing as a team is useless as you can almost expect the other team to cheat...i played all 3 df versions from the start, but i gave up cos the cheating. ofp is technologilly better, nicer gfx, good feeling when you play and the possibility to use vehicles, ofp is superirior in all aspects, brought down only by the difficulty to play online, the lack of a "join-game-in-progress" function kills a lot of its online cababilities. so in short, ofp RULES sp, but df2 rules mp, despite the cheaters. Krull SGC 0 Posted December 11, 2001 I agree Pete, you couldn't beat Attack and Defend on DF2, especially on the Sand Castle map, truely outstanding carnage trying to get up the hill, and through those three gateways. Land Warrior is nowhere near as good, (though I quite like the City battle maps) and too many players live on the d*amn thing, and the MM-1 ruins everything. It is just a shame that OFP is soo hard to play online well and with ease, though as far as SP goes it is the ultimate first person war game, I don't think I have ever played DF2 in SP. Pete 1 Posted December 11, 2001 hey Krull...what team did you play in? im CC Peteking (the crosshair company), we played pretty much only CTF, but i remember seeing atleast one Krull in df..maybe i even shot you once?
Krull SGC 0 Posted December 11, 2001 I never joined a team, I preferred to go it alone, and work with whoever was willing. CTF was usually my second choice, when I couldn't get on A&D or wanted something different. I loved to run the flags, especially when the rest of the side preferred to sit around and snipe, or rather be sniped. So it probably was me, I don't remember ever seeing any other Krull variations, and according to the Landwarrior player list I am the only one, and I think it was the same for DF2. So chances are you did shoot me a few times, and maybe I got you a couple of times too. Great MP action, the DF games are probably why I like OFP so much, games like this are so much better than stuff like Quake, Unreal, and Half-Life.
