Put sniper on roof in bas urban rescue mission?

I am trying to follow the objectives of the BAS "Urban Rescue" mission. You are supposed to put one of your snipers on the roof of a tower in Petrovice while remaining undetected. But their is a maintenance worker in the elevator of the tower, and if he sees you (or you kill him) then the enemy is alerted. The intel says to find another way up, but how else can you get on top of the tower? If you use a chopper insertion, then the enemy is obviously alerted. I can climb the tower next to the one I need to be on, but there is no way to get across to the other tower. How could this objective possibly be reached?

I have not played the mission .. but can you kill him with a silenced pistol and remain undetected ??

I got this mission as part of the BAS SpecOps SP/MP mission pack at theavonlady.org faq page, under the August 11 anouncement.

I have tried using a silenced pistol, but the base is still alerted. I will try to "jump" from one rooftop to another again, but I have never been able to do it. Is there a trick to jumping . . . I have tried sprinting, but how do you jump?
