Meckon 0 Posted October 13, 2003 Setting AI patrols might seem useless for most OFP missions, however they would be instrument in custom missions. For those who don't know: Conquer the Island (CTI) is like RISK for the towns of the island is played on. Players capture and hold towns with the help of up to 11 AI they can create at constructed buildings by their commander. This commander is able to build structures in proximity to the teams Mobile Head Quarters (MHQ [Think Command & Conquer]) which can then be accessed by players to create units. Players spend money that they've earned by destroying enemy units and from his share of dividents for holding towns, thus, more towns equals more money (more money better equipment). With that out of the way, bases are established, and the need to defend them arises. This is where patrols would come in. Everyone knows that if you don't patrol around your base, you make it possible for the enemy to mass nearby. Bottom line, it would add another demention to that gametype (and possibly others) and in turn make the game much more enjoyable. Thanks. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
