ArmA updates break my Oldman campaign saves

Every time ArmA 3 is updated, I have problems loading my Oldman campaign save game... can't something be done about this so that incompatibility issues don't occur with every update? Now I have to start all over again...

 

Can I save my data somehow so I can load the saved game?
