Of goty edition began with random crashes..

To begin with, OF began to start to randomly crash a bit more often than it did already (i suspected that it was because my RAM is a little higher than the minimum amount of RA needed to run it). I thought nothing of it but the next day when i tried to run OF it crashed whenever a tank or a chopper was sighted it crashed. I downloaded the newest drivers for my graphics card and restarted my pc. When i tried to run OF again it came up with an error claiming something along the lines of "unable to create... Radeon 7000 at 75Hz". When i try to run OF now, it starts to spin and check the cd, then it sort of gives in and doesn't even give me and error. I tried Re-installing it after that and now it still does the same thing. I've never had any problems with the Game Of The Year edition before. Any clues what's happening?
