Q. for miles teg re sebnampack2

Recommended Posts

Hi Miles,

Did you ever get your freezing problem with Sebnambpack2 sorted out? I've got exactly the same problem and have tried every BIOS/hardware setting I can find, but still get these freezes on Sebnampack.

Here's my system:

XP2100+

2x256mb Crucial RAM

Asus A7M266 BIOS 1008-2B (tried PCI latencies from 0 to 128)

On IRQ9 GeForce ti4600. detonator 41.09 (tried AGP2x, fast writes disabled, 64mb AGP aperture - no difference)

On IRQ5 Soundblaster Live! Audigy2. (Recently upgraded from SBLive5.1 thinking I might solve the problem with 64 3D hardware voices, but no change. Also tried TB Santa Cruz same probs)

Windows ME

3dmark2001 10,600 @1024x768x32 default

Flashprefs:

1280 x 960 x 32

All lights

All textures at 4096 - didn't see any difference in performance or appearance when decreasing them

Auto drop down 4x

Max objects 256

Objects LOD 0.0016

Shadows LOD 1.000 (never used them)

In Game:

W-buffer disabled

Multitexturing enabled

Visual quality max

Framerate max

Viewdistance 1500m

EAX disabled (caused crashes when Resistance came out)

Hardware sound acceleration Enabled

I was going to try reducing the settings, but if you've still had no luck I won't try as I don't want to risk my hard disk with too many more OFP freezes (had about 100 so far). If you could let me know how you got on I'd be really grateful.

Cheers - cornhelium

Ps. Nampack2 still rules smile.gif
