earl 0 Posted March 14, 2003 Why does the BIS muzzle flash change with each shot? Is it just a simple rotation of the muzzle flash model? Or a texture property?
Guest jacobaby Posted March 14, 2003 From what I gleened; There are some P3D's which have animations built in. Each animationphase has a texture file associated with it. I would guess then that the muzzleflash would just be shown on a random animationphase. If you like I can do something to show you this in action. TJ
stgn 39 Posted March 14, 2003 try open your gun model in the animation progam and you will see that the flash is blu and the gun is gray which indicates that it turnes or somthing. Is this realistic ? STGN

If I can understand how it's done, maybe I can build off it for other effects. Otherwise, I could probably get by if I had the original PAA texture so I can try to retexture the muzzleflash.
