Guest Hitman[SWAF] Posted March 4, 2003 Hello, I have same kind of problem, I have all the newest drivers and all. All the sound get back to normal when chaged to 3rd person and back but in out server, 3rd person isnt available. Is it true that this is not repairable? Fubar? GhettoP 0 Posted March 4, 2003 It is not repairable  I have had the problem since I got Windows XP more than a year ago.  Switching to third person and back works when you are in vehicles.  When a vehicle is near you, there is static and there is really nothing you can do about it.  This problem is really annoying in cut scenes.  Anyways, this solution reduced the static by a whole lot for me, but it is not completely gone.  Try this: I have a SB Live.... It say´s all...  Found following Reg-Key in a Forum, u might try this.. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Creative Tech\Emu10kx\DriverSettings\Wave\Pin#00000002 Set turbo to "0" hehe  max hw-acc, still eax, a little bit crackling, noisy sounds still left... not final, but i can play (drive and fly) now without that.... chrchrhchrchrhkrrrrrrgrrrrkrrrsssssss-sound besides... does anyone know what this entry is about... I am not sure who posted this, ( I had it saved in a Text document, but I got it from these forums) but thanks for this solution.
