wyattmoon102 5 Posted June 2, 2022 So one common thing you will run into during your map making journey is exceeding your tile's 5 texture limit. The only way people really can try to find those small textures to get rid of them is painting over the whole tile. Until now. A cool guy in discord showed me this and he had no idea how big of a deal it was. First you want to set up your editor config on your paint tool so you can see your texture budget in the first place Next you want to be able to see your textures in a more easy to see manner. However for some textures , they are almost the same color in this mode so keep in mind its not great for everything as some textures (conifer forest base and grass for example) will be the same color or extremely close to the same color to the point where you cant see the difference. Press CTRL+X to enter predator texture vision while in paint mode. Now assuming you cant see this texture that is hiding from you , and you cant see it in predator vision mode either and thus cant paint over it to get rid of it. You can enter the info and diags menu next to the paint tool and inspect the tile itself. You click the menu and then you click the tile you want to inspect inside the editor window. This will allow you to see your exact texture budget at the bottom. Now you can merge that texture that you do not want by right clicking its name in the menu and merging it with another texture or even just replacing it. Technically this isnt "deleting" a texture , however it serves the same purpose. Enjoy! 3
