ArmA 2 HR Co-Op save files

Hello,

 

I'd like to know more about how the saving works when playing mission with friends on LAN.

My experience is, that after saving the mission through 'Save and Exit', the game loads that save correctly. However, when saving automatically or manually, loading these saves doesn't work - neither from the mission list, nor using the 'Load' option the 'Escape' menu.
Is this behaviour correct or am I experiencing some sort of a bug? 
It's quite frustrating not being able to make reliable saves during a mission.
