Guest BratZ Posted February 18, 2003 Hi, I can make transparant textures without much problem.I did my canopy different this time.Making the framework, but how can I get the clear part to be glasslike? I make my framework and select the alpha channel and the whole middle is clear... Anyone guide me through this? How can I select the transparancy and still have it blurry or you know what I mean. I've made several attempts, please help. BTW I am using Paintshop Pro,from what I hear in Photoshop you just paint on a transparant background, appears PSPro doesn't work like that
Guest BratZ Posted February 19, 2003 No help? Maybe I didn't explain well.I am trying to make my canopy,With the framework and the smoked glass. But when I pick the glass area ,all Is blank (transparant) I have no glass look, just the framework. I've tried multiple combinations (in PsPro) ways of selecting the alpha channel, but its always makes the whole glass area blank. I paint smoke and such ,but that doesnt show. Anyone explain an easy way to have smoked glass?
Skaircro 0 Posted February 20, 2003 Check out this thread, if you havent seen this one before: http://www.flashpoint1985.com/cgi-bin....3;st=10 Lansen made a really usefull tutorial for this type of thing, unfortunetly it is for PhotoShop, so it might not help you out, but it could give you some ideas to try in PaintShopPro. Guest BratZ Posted February 21, 2003 Yes that tut got me started on transparancy originally (but its for photoshop).I still cant do it.I temp fixed the problem,by making my framework then a few more faces of just glass between them. But I should be able to do it all within the texture and cut my faces in half I'll figure it out sometime
Wires 0 Posted February 28, 2003 Were you painting the glass and the frame in the alpha channel? Or were you putting the fram as the alpha with the glass as the background? It should work if the glass and the frame are both in the alpha channel. If you are doing this and it doesn't work (which I don't see how as you said that the frame was showing up) then I'm really not sure what is going wrong
