Making dmx_policie mod riot policemen pick up gas mask and throw tear gas grenade.

I'm planning to do a mission involving some policemen with riot gear throwing tear gas grenades to civilians.  How can I make them do that?

I sorta figured out some of it. I put:

this addEventhandler ["fired",{hint format["%1",_this]}]

 

In the unit's init and got the tear gas grenade working but I can't figure out how to make them put on their gasmasks.
