Editor Object Rotation Reset

I'm having and issue with the eden editor, similar to this: https://feedback.bistudio.com/T84253 with the plank object.

When trying to angle to plank and then rotating it resets to default flat position, i have tried toggling the vertical and snapping tools with no fix.
