--- EDIT NOTE: I ACCIDENTALLY UPLOADED THE WRONG TGA. THE NEW ONE IS CORRECT, PROBLEM PERSISTS sad.gif ---

Hi guys,

I DID search the forum but all I could find was the tutorial I was using sad.gif

I want to create a transparent logo for my squad (me!wink.gif and I did not succeed in doing so.

As stated in all the tutorials I could find (google and hints in here), I did the following:

Open PSP7

Open Logo

Copy the logo to a new image (256x256, 24bit, black background, 72 dpi) and choose the background as my alpha channel (so in PSP preview the background is transparent). The channel is One bit (either 0% transparent or 100% transparent).

I saved the logo as logo.tga (forcing one layer, one alpha channel) and tried to open it with TexView:

TexView shows nothing and if I try to save the logo as a paa, it crashed (shows save dialog, then quits without saving).

I am desperate. I want to create that logo, I follow the rules and yet I can't finish it. If I try using the tga directly, there is just a white box in my player information ("P") ingame, the logo does not show on vehicles.

I KNOW some of you people figured this out, so please help me.

I would be glad if someone could check my .tga for me.

I uploaded it at http://home.arcor.de/sidargo/pot.tga for anyone who can help me.

Thanks in advance.

€: If this is the wrong forum, please move the topic and I am sorry.. I thought it fits here. Its not editing and its not multiplayer, at least judging by the forum descriptions sad.gif

I really messed that one up. the TGA was (by PSP7 default) saved as a COMPRESSED .tga, which can not be handled by TexView. Set it to uncompressed, works fine.

As I said, im just too stupid even for the most basic tasks wink.gif

btw, none of the tuts I read mentioned that you MUST save as uncompressed tga... that says much about their quality wink.gif

Cheers
