CabbageMiller171 0 Posted July 26, 2018 Overview Vigor is a unique game with a deadly twist. there is a atmosphere and sheer tension in this game that I haven't felt in a long time, with genuine fear sometimes taking over you in lower levels as you realise you could literally lose everything. Vigor is a visually stunning game up to par with multi million budget games and surpassing many top place games on the market today. You start to take pride in you shelter as you can slowly see the changes take effect as you level up making you want more and more making the stakes higher in raids as you take more risks for more precious loot, the firing range was a really nice touch to try out guns and get used to them before putting your life and equipment on the line. the game and mechanics are solid however I do have my own thoughts on how to improve this game and faults I have found Ideas: A pet in your shelter (maybe for decoration maybe as a scavenging aid with maybe even possible combat role however this would have to be balanced right as lower levels already at disadvantage would suffer) More melee weapons with added variety (I found the melee very versatile and a great back up to a shotgun without needing to carry ammunition which helped save space for more loot) Ways to prevent teaming up (the beta was FULL of people managing to team up with nearly every sever at least 2 working together and once I experienced 4 working together if a mode was made for teams or squads elsewhere in different lobbys or separate campaigns all together to allow the single players a fighting chance More significant changes in your shelter (I know I said above about the changes but I was really avidly looking for the small changes perhaps a element of customisation and more bigger changes each shelter level, perhaps you could even craft furniture and decorative items for your base you could even dismantle or take furniture you see in raids for your base, this would only add more sheer determination and immersion into the game along with the pet idea above Armour and more player customisation: now without making the game stupidly unbalanced a form of light visual armour with many variety's only makes sense perhaps they could have non combat buffs like increased loot found on a specific item slight buffs to radiation resistance ect this will defiantly add to immersion as well as more clothes to help really make your character your own Some form of upgraded Giger counter in later levels to help alert you sooner for radiation Upgrades and attachments to weapons (can be found very rarely or crafted like scopes {with lens glare} silencers ect) A crossbow!!!!!! the reason why I like using the knife as a back up is mainly to finish of wounded enemies as silent alternative to not give away my position across the whole map I think with some correct balancing this would help add to realism as at the moment I can hear gunshots form what seems like literally miles away. Cons LOOTING: I felt like I had to put that in capitals because there wasn't 1 time I was raiding where I wasn't standing in the open with my trousers down jumping up and down on a players box that I killed trying to loot him sometimes it registered it could be lootable I would hold X and it would just never finish the circle and never open meaning I have either got killed waiting to be able to loot or given up and missed out on loot that was rightfully mine to survive. The same also go for cars as you are almost completely unable to loot while crouched meaning a lot of streamer friends and viewers didn't even realise you could loot cars because of the stupid angles and positions and standing up to be able to see that sweet sweet X meaning that if you can stand perfectly still at that exact stop maybe you can loot that car apart from that 1 con which can be eailsy fixed I have no issues with this game and for a beta I was really surprised with the game as a whole and cant wait to see the finished result .... with futher updates to come
twitch_DinotheRRhino 44 Posted July 26, 2018 I really like your idea about the armor. the non combat buffs sound amazing. In your feedback is really not much where I disagree with, so I leave the rest uncommented. +1 on the pet.
