Vehicle ammo programatically?

Hey, I have a question that will no doubt seem positively noob-ish to 99% of you hackers. I did a search to answer my question and didn't find anything in particular, so I've started this thread. Anyways...

I'm trying to start a tank with no ammo, and at some point script the addition of 1 or 2 rounds of main gun (sabot, heat, whatever) ammo later on. I have the triggers and whatnot, everything works but the actual addmagazine command for the tank. What gives?

I'm using 1.90 if it matters. The tank is a T80 and my command to load the ammo is obj_t80 addmagazine "shell125";. Simple enough. But it doesn't work at all. I jump into the tank as gunner and it says "Gun - 0" for the sabot. Am I missing something blatantly obvious? I can't get it to work for any tank but I have managed to get the M2 machine guns to reload this way.

And finally, if it does work, is there a way to only give the tank 1 round at a time instead of a full load of ammo?

Crap, I sure hope you're wrong...or hope they fixed it and I'm just too stupid to get it to work right. Heh!
