Glare 0 Posted December 9, 2002 (Hope this is in the right forum) I've made a Rapier - Mobile Launcher and used 8 proxies of the rapier missile I made in the launch cells. Now my problem is this: I've defined the proxies as part of the turret and gun but when the turret rotates in game - the proxies don't. They stayed fixed, facing forward. They do dissappear when launched though, launching in the direction the turret is facing - which looks slightly wierd if firing to the sides. Is this a config problem or do I have to define them as something else? I know that when missiles are used on planes, they change heading relative to their launch rails - but those are usually fixed facing forward. I want mine to rotate. Help please. PicVert 0 Posted December 10, 2002 I think.. you have to make (in p3d) your proxy with your turret in the same group in LOD and look too in memory for that and adjust your memory point.
dm 9 Posted December 10, 2002 NO - unfortunately due to engine limitations in ofp, it is NOT posible to have proxies (other than the gunner) rotate with the turret. I'm sorry - every possible way of getting around this has failed, so your Rapier (with aimable rockets) will not be possible
