Shabadu 0 Posted November 21, 2002 Well, the problem of white floors arises as a result of a lack of video memory. I had on-board graphics at first, before going PCI, and it shared about 8-16 Megs from the RAM. This meant there was in no way enough video memory for it to texture everything. So the computer decided to leave the floor out completely. Also it isn't white, it's simply textureless i.e. no colour at all. So you don't even get a snow effect. There are benefits to this though. It makes spotting enemies a damn sight easier and you can see quite well in the dark. But the downsides are things like having no idea where a hill starts or ends and seeing roads where there are no roads i.e. on the other side of a hill. So if anyone is suffering form this affliction, buy a better graphics card, it's the only way. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
