Animating hit points lod

SImilar to my other post, custom animations don't seem to work on the Hit-Points LOD.

I've made the solar collectors with animated armored plates. However, these armored plates are not helping reduce damage to the solar collector, so I don't think they are animating.

The plates are set to "hull" and the interior is set to "engine". Total armor level is 150. Armor for hull is 2, armor for engine is 0.5. So if they were working correctly, it would take much more power to destroy the collector when its armor is up. However, there is never a difference.

I could understand if I was using area-effect weapons that catch the interior in their splash damage. however i am using machineguns so I doubt there is any damage bleed-through.

Your thoughts?
