"Connecting Failed" when 2 computers in the same network try to connect to the same server.

Recommended Posts

Hello there,

So me and someone else try to join each other and play together in the same network (1 router, 2 different computers, separate steam accounts). So when the other guy connects to a server and then I try to connect too on the same server, an error appears to me: "Connecting Failed". If I connect first to the server and then he tries to join me, the same error will appear to him. How can I fix it? Antiviruses, firewalls are all closed. I am not sure but I guess this problem is because we are using the same port? I remember I had a similar error with CS:GO so I just set a command (+clientport ...)  at Launch Options and everything was fine. So is there any similar command for this game? Also could port forwarding help? If yes, what ports should I port forward?

Thanks for now!
