xyouthx 0 Posted November 7, 2002 First of all, I posted about this in the MP forum earlier. So if you consider this a cross posting, sorry. I've been having som serious problem with Dedicated Servers 1.85 through 1.88. They simply will not start when using the sockets netcode, dplay works fine. Whenever I try to start the server using sockets I get this error: As opposed to this when I've added the -dplay switch: The server was a Win2k Pro SP3 Athlon XP machine that is run as a dedicated server, administered with VNC. The machine has now been upgraded to Windows XP SP1 and we're now using Win XP Remote desktop for remote administration instead. I've also reinstalled both Operation Flashpoint and Resistance from scratch. I also applied patches 1.20, 1.30 and 1.46 before installing Resistance. The 1.46 dedicated server works flawlessly. There is no problem opening a listening socket on port 2302 with any other applications, and it is not in use (accodring to netstat) when trying to start the OpFlash DS. The same problems occurs with all other ports I've tried. There are no firewalls running/installed. Any ideas?
