No voice chat on nmy server ...

Recommended Posts

First, excuse me for my bad english ...

I'm installed an Arma 3 Server on a dedicated server on Debian 8, and I run a life mission on it. Everything seems to work, but I realised that no voice chat is working ...

I've already checked log fils, RPT files, and all configuration files : it is enabled, but not working. All my ports are opened (I did this security break for the tests), and when I speak, I see my own lips moving, but my friend can't see it ...

If somebody knows what cause this problem, it will be very helpful !

EDIT : Text chat is working fine, but voice isn't ... don't see any post related to this bug ...

Same problem.

I have three arma server on Debian8 64bits, since 2 years, with a lot of players and never one problem.

But since yesterday, with one server after apt-get update && apt-get upgrade and a reboot, no voice over net for my players now :(

My arma3/config.cfg allow VON and all works before reboot and update.
The port are open for UDP and we can connect to the game but no voice.

No error message in log file.
I have reinstall Arma via steamcmd.

I don't know how i can find the problem ?

// EDIT PROBLEM IS SOLVE

After disable portsentry, fail2ban, flush my iptables and check my hosts.deny, the problem is the same.
I try with another server.Arma3Profile and now it's works the voice is come back.

On my old server profil i have some strange configuration, i remove this

singleVoice=0;
soundEnableEAX=1;
soundEnableHW=0;
volumeCD=5;
volumeFX=5;
volumeSpeech=5;

For me, problem resolution was to reinstall all my server architecture (using VMWare VMs to increase network security), and I chosse to host my ArmA 3 server on a Windows 2012 R2 ...

Thanks for your reply, I'll try it soon on a dev server ...
