Drop command useable with 3d objects ?

Recommended Posts

Can I use the drop command with external 3D resource files ?

Example: Is it possible to design a 3D object ( bomblet for carpet bombing ) and use it as a resource file for the drop source ?

Second question: Are we able to use 2D sources light plane images with drop command ?

Not sure. Doubt it. The Drop command (using SpaceObject) seems to put a .p3d into the game without collsion detection, and at a random attitude.

What you can do is to use the drop command as an empty positional tag and setPos your object to this location.

I wrote a tip on OFPEC on how to do this. Have a search for "drop" there. It'll be on the Hints & Tips board.
