The 38thID is a strong and committed milsim unit for Arma III, basing tactics and structure from the US Army. Evolved from the 9thPR, our leaders have years of milsim experience to give you the best time within our ranks as possible. Originally created in early 2014, the 38thID has risen up at the end of the year, bringing about it many things unique only to it's unit to create a interesting experience. What do you do? The 38thID does multiple tasks and operations not commonly seen in many other units. Our focus is on the lowest level, with patrols (of all kinds) and humanitarian operations being the most common. Other tasks include EOD and Supply Operations for example. We keep clear of the stereotypes, night time raids with lasers or very large battles that result in large casualties or guaranteed wins. How are you structured? Each squad consists of two fireteams of four, plus a Squad Leader, a Combat Medic, Radio Telephone Operator and a Combat Engineer. Each fireteam contains a Team Leader, Autorifleman, Grenadier and a regular rifleman (Who can have his gear be tailored to the mission). We do a minimum of two squads to a platoon and 4 platoons to a company. With each platoon being lead by a NCO and a CO. What does your unit have? We currently have a Teamspeak and a fully dedicated server. We have several current military members who provide leadership roles for the unit, as well as technical experts who handle the website, server administration, so and so forth. We provide a plethora of awards/medals/etc. to our soldiers as they progress through the unit. There is many schools you can attend here and will be equally awarded for your efforts. What are your unit's goals? Since we have opened nearly six months ago, we have grown to 17+ members. We offer many roles to help people feel unique! Our goals now for the future is to fill the rest of our Bravo Squad and aviation wings before opening a mechanized section as well as Charlie squad. What are your usual times? Patrol Operations are Monday & Wednesday which are optional attendance. Training Day is Friday at 6:30PM EST. Main Operations are done on Saturdays at 6:00PM EST. Perfect for those who want an active unit but some flexibility. Where do I go to research the unit/join? mannulus 38 Posted January 22, 2015 Major changes have occured in the last two weeks since we have announced our presence! The unit has nearly doubled in it's size since it began and we are preparing to open our next squad! However there is a few new details we wish to announce that those interested in a unit might like! Rotary Aviation and Fixed Wing Aviation! FireFly 1 dropping off a container loaded with fortifications for use by 1st Platoon, Alpha Squad in their new FOB. Due to our new deployment area, we require a lot more from our air crews in terms of Logistics, CAS and Reconnaissance. As shown in the picture above from our last Operation, we absolutely love logistics. However, due note that not every patrol/operation may need rotary/fixed-wing aviation. We are merely opening it due to CURRENT DEMAND and most likely will need only a few skilled dedicated pilots to perform our required needs and will need more of them as our unit grows. New Deployment! A Grenadier from Alpha Squad, 1st Fireteam overlooks a valley from FOB Robstrepo. The 38th Infantry Division has finally moved to Clafghan where many opportunities await for all roles. From recon/SF to fixed wing and rotary, we hope this map will flesh out everything people enjoy doing in the ArmA universe. mannulus 38 Posted April 30, 2015 It has been nearly six months since the 38thID has opened to the public! And boy, what changes have come! While members have come and gone, this has in no way slowed down the machine of the 38thID. We have a new website at www.38thid.net and we are currently in the midst of trying to fill Bravo Squad. If you are looking for a unit that is fresh, laid back out of game but serious and tactical ingame; then look no further than the 38th Infantry Division, now celebrating our 50th Patrol!
